I've recently started using a new computer to play POTM, as my old computer has finally given out. That being said, the old computer did not have this issue. Said issue being:
ALL audio (spells, combat, voice lines, doors, etc) is near-silent or silent entirely when "behind" my character (from the camera's perspective).
Rotating the camera allows me to resume hearing audio in the direction where I couldn't previously, at the expense of now not hearing in the new "behind" direction.
Camera zoom level does NOT affect this bug, only orientation. To reiterate: actual character direction also does not affect audio. Only the area behind the character, where the camera is floating.
Audio settings have not helped, I have changed each and every one (including the 2d/3d bias) numerous times, edge cases included.
Audio driver updates AND rollbacks have not affected such. My only remaining conclusion is that it might be a stupid Windows 11 feature locked away behind some esoteric menu that I've not found on my hunt.
To re-clarify: ANY audio happening "behind" my character (irrelevant of the actual character's faced direction), where the camera is floating, is 95-100% silent.
Thanks!
P.s. - This is the first "Windows 11 default" computer I've had. The original one started on 8, then to 10. This one came as 11, from a friend. Factory reset and all. No such audio issue exists in any other game, software, etc. Very perplexing!
