I used the ability in Port and immediately received hate mails from those around. It's not a spell and shouldn't cause such reactions.

Channeling warlock powers is equally poorly viewed though and they might not know the difference anyway. This is working as intended.

Activating fiendish resilience is a free action that doesn't require channeling or other components, somatic or verbal, so it's not supposed to be noticeable.
