Toggle nameplates always on

With the new (...) chat indicator it would be nice to have the ability to toggle on nameplates, so I'm not holding tab till the end of time.

I do realize I can double tap tab quickly to prolong nameplates being displayed. However the nameplates do disappear after some time and I find the highlighting a bit annoying.

Would it be possible to add a feature to toggle nameplates always on?

I think it is possible through the feedback menu on the in game options at the menu.

Could you be more specific? I have explored the rest menu and cannot find a toggle for this.

It is on the main menu, in the feedback options. It's not within the server, rather an option from  the game itself. I can look for it once I get the chance to.

I checked this section, nothing seemed to indicate nameplates or target names. Are these the options you were talking about?

Those are the options I remember tweaked this kind of thing. Did a test here, it seems broken though. I'm sure prior to EE there was a way to keep all names visible the whole time -- or its just a Mandela Effect happening to me.

Options, Game Options, Input, Tooltip Doubletap Threshold. Set it to a higher number of your liking. Double tap Tab to keep nameplates on. They however fade in a few seconds, not sure about with the new additional typing notification if they will still fade however.

Pre EE we could toggle it to always show. Seems like they might have changed how it works.

No, that's hardcoded.

It's client-side code, not server-side, so not much POTM can do about that.
Consider making a feature request to Beamdog, I've got a thing or two added that way.
