ASF on warlocks?

Arcane spell failure, both in game and on warlocks class description, is described as follows:

- Spellcasting: Warlock Invocations. (Charisma-based, no spell preparation, spell failure from medium and heavy armor, and shields is a factor)

However I am wearing light armour (studded leather) with no shield, and my warlock is experiencing arcane spell failure.

Is this as intended?

Don't happen to be wielding Staff of Scientific Supremacy or whatever are you? Or a helmet with 05% arcane failure? That stuff slips by

My warlock is casting in medium armor and working fine

Or you died and never rested off the spell failure, that happens too. (Warlocks don't really need to rest otherwise.)

Another common cause is you got turned into a frog and were subdualled or whacked by NPCs into bleedout out of the form, but still need remove curse cast on you because neither are legitimate ways it's supposed to be removed.

This is literally a hot off the press new warlock, but she has rested a few times.  Only thing shes wearing that grants ASF is studded leather armour from the New Character Area merchant.

Is it just on the character sheet or did you experience it when casting spells?

You don’t have defensive casting enabled do you? I doubt this is it but figured it might be worth mentioning just in case

I kind of wonder if the new character got a little mussed in creation.

For example, I noticed this when i was looking through craftskill info to see which ones would be better suited for her, I always forget what ones have what attributes:

That's a bug with tokens, so it wouldn't affect your character. It happens when the same token is used at the very same time elsewhere.

The ASF is a low chance since leather isn't a high ASF but it does seem to be happening.  It could be the studded leather from the starting area might have some bug or be flagged incorrectly.  I'm going to get some gold and buy another suit and see if the problem persists after getting another set of armour.

I've been unable to recreate this on the test server. Was your character perhaps exhausted? That would add ASF.

Ive not had it happen since getting new armour, I suspect that the studded armour from the new character vendor is not cooperating.
