Magic fang and lyklor
« on: March 28, 2024, 01:48:35 PM »
Today ran into weird bug with a high lvl druid, apparently when casting savage claws and magic fang with every other gloves works but when wearing lyklors fighting gloves fangs spell doesnt work anymore. we tested this out with my monk and his lyklor gloves and it worked. Suspecting a bug.

Maybe I'm wrong on this, but Magic Fang and Greater Magic Fang shouldn't be working on Monks as they are not creatures and they do not use natural weapons. They use unarmed strikes, which is, as far as I know, classified differently. Magic Fang should work on shapeshifted PC's like druids, or animal companions or familiars, but I think it shouldn't work on monk PC's or their gloves.

The general behaviour is that Magic Fang, Greater Magic Fang and Claws of the Savage do work on gloves, gauntlets, and not bracers.

If you have a screenshot of the property not applying to gloves after casting, post it along with the combat log.

Claws of the Savage wont apply the additional damage to a polymorphed form, but the enhancement should still be there.

While it's possible when different glove enhancement spells are used there might be some variant priority loading? 9/10 times when someone says "magic fang" didn't work, they didn't take into account their adjusted size category after shifting, or didn't calculate their AB correctly. Without any further information it's difficult to conclude if there is a bug.

Certainly, it's not replicatable on my end with a level 19 druid, everything is working fine.

No shifting was done here, other gloves get +4 enchantment meanwhile lyklors do not, which was my point. for some reason this occurs only when a druid is wearing lyklors and trying to give herself magic fang meanwhile my monk still gets the +4 while wearing the same gloves.

Do lyklors contain any sort of metal in them material-wise?

I have same issue
My pc has draconic claws for 1d3 base which might be interacting strangely for unarmed strike.

rog/warlock/druid with Lykors.  Claws of savage refuses to do anything but visual.

So Iv done some testing.

Iv used rams  might to apply my unarmed strike and  off hand  = savage claws did not work

I tried direct casting on gloves in inventory,  - savage claws  did not work, gave me the visual only

Now I had drop my gloves to ground and cast on them to make savage claws finally apply
