Fledgling Vampire Warriors Running Into the Sun
« on: March 08, 2024, 09:28:13 AM »
Where: Lake Zarovich - Northern Shore - Along the Northern Shore - Cave in the north west side of zone.

What: Sometimes this cave will spawn Fledgling vampire warriors, they can chase PC's out of the cave, or be lured out of the cave. Though they have no ill effects from the sun.

Recreate: Go to the cave when it has vampire spawns in it. Aggro the vampires and lure them to the entrance of the cave and leave. The vampire mobs will chase the PC out into the sun.

Idea: Is it possible to prevent them from leaving the cave? I know making them take sun damage would be a big lift. So, if they could be stopped from pursuing, that would be easier.

I have screenshots if they are needed.

Canonically there's never direct sunlight in Barovia, it's always overcast. It took about 4 in game hours for my vampire character to actually die of sunlight damage because her regen beat the damage ticks until about 9am. It led to an awkwardly drawn out kiss the dawn ending.

Tweaks to the present system might be a good thing.

If you've watched Van Helsing with Hugh Jackman you know clouds are OP for vampires and there's plenty of them in Barovia, it's fine.

Alright then, lets just make them check the weather first before pursuing. /s

Or... just don't let them exit the cave.
