Fur Trader In Dementlieu (Another fur table)

 (In the Tannery is what first comes to mind) they need furs for their leatherworking stuff.  And with the nobility likely needing furs or both foreign and native poachers/foresters coming hoping to sell off what they've skinned, they'll likely need a place to drop those off.

I'm welcome to any input.

Would the Dementlieuse producers want some, ragged adventurer looking person to deliver them "high quality" furs from the outbacks though? Thought they would just import everything.

While much of the countries under the Treaty of Three Towers imports furs
, it does have a vast amount of wilderness with hides they'd still likely exploit.  Though it is something to bear in mind

The fur trade was huge for 1700's France.  While Dloo isn't france and doesn't have colonies (not like the american ones anyway do they have any colonies at all in ravenloft?), it makes sense they'd want fancy furs.  They made stovepipes out of beavers and stuff.  Mink stoles?  Fur coats?  Makes sense there'd be someone to buy that stuff.

You have to consider however that the fur table by Petre is meant as a source of income for low level characters, but really we'd prefer players to trade pelts between themselves rather than selling them to NPCs. Adding more fur tables would be a step back toward that goal.

I'd argue Dementlieu needs more support for low level players, to include fur trading, dungeons, and (more) deliveries.

Agreed with apeppertoo. Plus PCs don't really trade in pelts, even in Vallaki; it's too easy to kill deer and grind your way beyond needing anything a low level could get...

More Lowbie stuff would always be good in Port. As it would encourage more people to spend time in the domain and RP rather than writing it off cause "Well I have to travel to do downtime activities."

I understand the desire for West Barovia to be the newbie ground, and it is.

But I think every domain would be enriched if it had more accommodations for broader level ranges.
