Suggestion - Ponderous Tomes

Hello, I would like to suggest a series of off-hand items for spellcasters. Their statblocks are as follows:

Ponderous Tome of <School of Magic>

Base Damage: 1d2
Base Critical Threat: x1
Base Damage Type: Bludgeoning
Weapon Size: Tiny
Feats Required: None
Base Item: Fashion Accessory
Weight 50.0 (+)

Special Properties:
Epic Spell Focus (<School of Magic>)
Ability Score Penalty: -2 Strength
Ability Score Penalty: -2 Dexterity
Ability Score Penalty: -2 Constitution
Material: Leather
Material: Paper
Only Useable by: Wizard
Only Useable by: Sorcerer
Skill Bonus: Lore +10
Skill Bonus: Spellcraft +10

I think making a ludicrously heavy spellbook that debilitates you physically and eats up much of your carry weight could be a fun item to have. The bonuses are a fun add-on but ultimately not set in stone (even ifugh that +10 Lore is very juicy...), though it may be difficult to justify the gag without some sort of positive to attract people to the items.

50+ actually! I'd like it to be closer to 75, but the -2 Strength might make that too prohibitive.

And be sure to follow the guidelines provided in the other thread please. Ability score modifiers on items is something that should be avoided. +10 bonus on items as well. I would not go for anything higher than +5 and for a single skill per item top.

+5 is the highest possible in normal play for most modifiers like this, above +5 is the purview of Epic Level content, which is mostly not present in PotM, short of the few items that have Epic Level feats that I'm sure we collectively regret at this point.
