Szabina Vásáry's Diary
« on: July 29, 2023, 06:27:30 PM »

In the silence of the night, as the moon casts its pale glow upon the world, my mind becomes a battleground, torn between two distinct paths. On one side, the call to fight a war, to take up arms and forge ahead, fueled by vengeance and the desire to reclaim my homeland. The path of a warrior, one who can no longer turn a blind eye to the injustice and oppression suffered by my people.

Yet, on the other side, memories of simpler times resurface, of carefree laughter and the warmth of my sister's embrace in the loft. A part of me yearns to return to that little girl, untouched by the horrors of the world, where innocence reigned and dreams knew no bounds. The weight of the past burdens me, and I wonder if embracing this warrior's path will turn me into a monster, one consumed by darkness and rage.

As the flames dance in the distance, mirroring the chaos within my heart, I grapple with the consequences of my choices. Can I find a balance between the two sides, or will one inevitably consume the other? A bitter truth haunts me - that I might not have the luxury of choosing my fate, that circumstances beyond my control may steer me down a path I never intended.

The world demands strength, but my strength threatens to devour me. The scars on my face remind me of the price I've paid, and a part of me wonders if I'm too far gone to return to the little girl I once was. Can I protect my people without losing myself? Can I find redemption in the midst of war's brutality?

I seek solace in the stars above, wondering if destiny has already chosen my path. The answer eludes me, and perhaps it always will. Until then, I stand at the crossroads, a woman torn between the past and the present, hoping to forge a future where the little girl in the loft and the hardened warrior within can coexist.
