Warlock enchanting bug

I tried enchanting on my warlock for the first time today and it appears to be bugged. (puts out error message 'lacking sufficient arcane class level')
According to the crafting info, 11 levels of warlock is required to do it, which i have. I also have sufficient ability scores in int and cha.
The machine was loaded with one radiant essence and gold gilded red steel braces, the target character of the enchating was high enough in level.
My character is not pure warlock and i did not start the character as warlock. I also have one level in a other class that gets access to enchanting, if that is relevant.

My suspicion is for whatever reason its grabbing your class that has 1 level in an appropriate class, and not the one that has 11.
