OCR spike after level up.
« on: June 09, 2023, 10:44:06 PM »
So, today, after I leveled up, I had a sudden spik in OCR:

The strange stuff is that My character by all means isn't new.

I believe that the new system reapplied an OCR.

Potentially related?
I had the same happen to me only after I leveled up, despite my height not having changed for the last few levels.

Yes, I'd say it's related because you probably just didn't receive the message before this change:

Possible, but I do believe that my base ocr was -1 in port too and now it is 3.

Possibly. There has been a change recently.
Still it hardly explains why it only had effect on level up. Same as it did my character
Without anything changing in the past few levels, likely. This is, I assume, the main point of contention. Correct me if I'm wrong

Not being able to see under the covers, this is all guess work on my part, based, however, on experience (and some understanding of programming).

It is likely that something was changed that caused the re-examining of the height OCR modifier. This modifier is probably not constantly checked because height is not something that changes very often. It could be checked as part of the leveling up process because a comprehensive check of OCR might occur at that time.

When this was reported, EO probably added the feedback message so the cause would be more clearly understood.

Hence, same cause both times but message only in the later case.

Indeed, and this shouldn't occur in the future since OCR will be adjusted when you adjust your height.
