Confidentiality Breach - Development Team Member

The PotM Community,

In the interest of transparency and to foster trust throughout our community, we must inform you that we regrettably had to ban PrimeTheGrime recently and remove him from his positions on the Community Council and Development Team. We received indisputable evidence of breaches in confidentiality and leaking of sensitive information prior to making this unfortunate decision that could not be ignored. Independent of our appreciation and gratitude for his contribution to the server during his time in the team, we cannot ignore the importance of such breaches, especially when trusted with confidential information. Though it was decided with a heavy heart, we had no choice but to issue a temporary ban, consistent with the gravity of the actions.

We understand and share the disappointment and concern this revelation comes to you all of you, as it has been for us as well, but trust is paramount to collaboration and such breaches severely erode that trust. As developers, we must be able to discuss things candidly in private to come to the best decisions, without having to worry that parts of internal discussions or information will be taken out of context and shared among the community. And equally important, it's essential that you as players can come to us with concerns or reports without having to worry that they will be shared outside the team. As most of you know by now, we hold maintaining confidentiality in the highest regard, whether as a DM, councilor or developer. We encourage anyone with questions or concerns about this ruling or confidentiality in general to not hesitate to contact Soren or myself. We'll be more than happy to help you and are grateful for your understanding.

This removal unfortunately resulted in an open slot on our developer representation for the Community Council. That position has been filled by the candidate with the next highest vote tally from the recent elections. Despite coming on the wake of regrettable news, we hope everyone will join us in congratulating the newly elected developer representative to the Community Council, Herkles.
