Songs from Invidia
« on: March 19, 2023, 02:24:09 PM »
[After the war between Malocchio and Gabrielle two years past songs about the conflict and chaos in the country have been shared and some spread into Barovia, some sung by 'Ironclaw' of the Levkin-led White Company]

Quote
A light flashes in the dark,
Brother, let's smoke in silence hark,
I hear your voice, a familiar pain,
Warm up some tea to calm the strain.

Today was tough, we took the hill,
The Black Wolf howls, a mournful shrill,
In heat, dust, and without water,
We marched through fields, monsters to slaughter.

Boom, the cannon roars with might,
A brother falls in gruesome sight,
We're not mere pups, but dogs of war,
Forward we march, knees high in blackwater.

The cannon fire high, rifles blaze,
Through woods, we crawl with angry gaze,
Rank by rank, we charge with pride,
Lead strikes true, our foes subside.

I wish to go home, if but an hour,
To hear my love with sweet flower,
"Don't leave me, stay a little longer",
My road lies through the Blightwood's sombre.

Bleak Sisters loom in distant skies,
Blightwood bleeds with heart-wrenching cries,
Through it lies home, a daunting path,
Yet we'll press on, for 'Chio and wrath.

A light flashes in the dark,
Brother, let's smoke in silence hark,
I hear your voice, a familiar pain,
Warm up some tea to calm the strain.

Today was tough, we took the hill,
The Black Wolf howls, a mournful shrill,
In heat, dust, and without water,
We marched through fields, monsters to slaughter.

"In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order."
