Post-Graduate Lecture Series

Journalism and the Law
By Sieur Dorian de Sauvre

How to practice journalism without coming into conflict with the legal authorities. Journalistic integrity: what does it mean, ethically and in the eyes of the law? How can you avoid the pitfalls of libel or obstruction of justice?

This course will cover such basics as: obtaining all possible perspectives on events; avoiding bias when presenting factual statements and witness testimony; when are sources protected, and when are they not.

In recognition of the regressive educational standards in Barovia, all lecture attendees will be asked for a donation of 50 solars to begin a scholarship fund for Barovian Journalism. This donation is purely voluntary and optional.
