Corpse and ghost spawned in random domain

My character died while falling down the pit in the temple of Thoth in HarAkir but the corpse and ghost spawned in the Crypt of the Sanctuary of the Coming dawn in Barovia when I went through the light only a minute later.

The place where I spawned is completely unrelated to my character. I have never rested nor died at that spot before.

I assume its likely a random bug but in case there is more to it, here are the screenshots:

To add to this, one of my PCs died elsewhere, but when the corpse was revived, he appeared in the middle of the temple of Thoth. Possibly related?

It gets better: The exact amount of gold the character dropped inside of Thoth was found outside the dungeon.
