Vistani Elixir not allowing passage through mist wall

This has happened twice to me today now. Both times it was approximately 1h before nightfall and either the elixir expired or simply didn't work at all.

In both cases I spoke to the guy who sells it, was charged the 5gp, and made it to the mist wall before the clock turned to hour 18. Currently sitting at the wall with 2 others that had the same issue.

Is it perhaps set so that the elixir expires before nightfall? I know Barovian's have a trouble telling time. Seeing as the bell for curfew always rings at 5pm instead of 6pm in vallaki.

That doesn't make sense. The first time it happened to me today it was already 5pm when I bought the elixir.

It says in the dialogue it lasts "until 5pm". If it's 5pm you're too late. If you can still buy it after the hour turns 5pm, it's expired potion.

Then he should stop selling them at 4pm so you don't waste your time. Or better yet, stop selling them at 5 and let the elixir end at 6. But yes, I see that now. An annoying design flaw to say the least.

Personally I don't mind the limitations, but I'v already enjoyed all the MC "RP" I can tolerate and I've just happened to have logged in the past two times right around nightfall.
