We have updated the server rules to account for characters who have arrived in Ravenloft prior to creation as well as general backstory considerations.
- Characters must represent the setting of origin for their subrace and cannot have experiences beyond this setting with the exception of their arrival within Ravenloft.
- Characters not native to Ravenloft may not have arrived earlier than three months prior to character creation and may not have integrated within native culture, nor gained experience or knowledge beyond what is reasonable in that duration.
Characters created prior to this announcement will be grandfathered and permitted to continue playing without significant amendment to their stories. We request that where characters arrived in Ravenloft during their backstory that their integration into native society is no greater than would be achieved by any outlander during casual play. If there are more significant revisions required to your character story due to this rule clarification, we invite you to contact server staff for further discussion so that we may reach a consensus that is both faithful to the server setting and respectful to the character concept.
Characters created after this announcement must adhere to the rules outlined above.
