Sudden reputation change

Hello, i was running around barovia with Xilo today gathering herbs and when trying to return vallaki the guards decided to give xilo a good whacking.
Short investigation later i noticed i've gotten +2 to my reputation stats, i have no idea why i've gotten this change since im not casting spells or fighting npc's.
Is it possible revert the reputation change?

You probably got seen casting a spell by an npc and didn't realize it. Changes to your OCR will reduce over time though so you will just have to wait it out.

If it is from spellcasting, however, you do not lose the last 2 points of a bump. They remain for all time.

That may also apply to others forms of an increase, but I am not 100% on that.

Get a bunch of influence gear. You need 5 influence to reduce your reputation by 1 point

i got my influence up to 5 but the reputation doesnt change, instead i keep rolling influence checks in the city until i fail one.

I think Influence is actually in intervals of 6.

Either way though if you use the Examine function on yourself you can check your OCR.  In areas where OCR is entirely implemented you need 13 OCR or lower to not have a negative response.

14 OCR and NPCs will yell at you and you'll see those Influence rolls.  16 OCR and you'll see aggressive responses from Guard NPCs.
