Know this the Brotherhood of the Whip do claim the attack on Har'akir as our doing. We slaughtered the slavers in their markets of human suffering, freed the slaves, and turned the oppressors alters over, and lo and behold their gods did not strike us down. It is because they are but statues and fiction forced upon the masses to justify their crimes.

The Brotherhood of the Whip seeks permanent accommodations in the Drain. 

Upwards of 200,000 Gold Dukes and a meeting with the Black Duke can be arranged to accommodate for moving expenses for interested parties.

Those who repeatedly stand against the Brotherhood of the Whip shall be punished and have their remains quartered and scattered around the realm. Let the fate of heretics stand as a warning, for it was not one offense that led to the fate of the Wayfarer, Melian.

Know this, those who place bounties upon our people shall suffer a fate tenfold. There shall be little mercy for those who consign mercenaries from the shadows. For every blood price placed on the Brotherhood, consider one placed in reciprocation: paid in full in both coin and favor from the strongest beings in the realm.

WAYFARER KINSHIP
is summoned to send representatives to meet to negotiate tentative terms for Melian's return. Rite of passage will be granted. Locations of her remains shall only be granted in the event of a satisfactory bargain.

Undesirables and sneaks are warned that they will be marked for death if they are caught spying. Fools beware, none have ever escaped the Emissary's eyes.

presents themselves before their brothers and sisters and face judgement for the crime of your most heinous betrayal. Rite of passage will be granted so long as you face judgement of your own volition. Your fate is in the hands of the Black Duke. Mercy may yet be shown for your treason.

We would like to thank the nameless member of the Wayfarer Kinship meeting with us and striking the bargain for the map to the remains of Melian. As proof of such a deed, we have included a copy of the map and all of the Duke's new holdings in Barovia where Melian's body was:



Know this, those of the Wayfarer Kinship who bend the knee as your compatriot did will be offered mercy and forgiveness.

A reminder is offered that we do not strike first, but we will strike last. Melian's aggression and the aggression of any and all members of the Wayfarer Kinship, or their allies, shall be met with a fate worse than the example made. For the blood price demanded it, so it will be so.

Even Giles Hawkins is permitted forgiveness by bending the knee and tasting the sweet crack of the whip.

[A day after the Brotherhood had posted its freshest batch of announcements, more forged fliers enter circulation, replacing the preceding decrees of the cult, even within the Drain.]

You may have noticed that we have been talking about Melian a lot lately. Every little notice we make throws her name around four or five times. We can't stop talking about her. That's because killing her was the first victory we had in months. We're at our lowest. Normally at this point, failed cults like ours shatter and fade into oblivion. But we will not go quietly into the night. We will kick and scream our way down the path of failure.

So when Melian told off Valanthe then turned her back to leave, it wasn't just right that Valanthe murdered someone the coward's way. It was necessary. We needed that win. Death to the Duke's opponents and nay-sayers. We strike first and with fear of what could happen if our prey gave us a real fight.

That's why we're so upset that Melian was returned, that our attempts to try and bring the Kinship to the table and treat us seriously were foiled- by one of our own no less. Victory was stolen from us, one with a sort of sweetness that we haven't tasted in ages. It's only natural that we come up with a story about an anonymous Kinship member submitting to our will. People will buy it. We haven't had deserters and defectors before, after all.

The Black Duke is dead and we are still coming to terms with it.

Perhaps they could have stopped the Emissary or the deaths of other heretics, if only they did not spend their time instead writing notices.
