Hazlan - River Saniset - Monastery of the Iron Path

The union between two prominent mulan families, House Fezim and House Khorzavi, was celebrated along the River Saniset with friends and family. The beautiful bride and handsome groom gave their vows under the watchful eye and with the blessing of the Lawgiver.



No expense was spared for the feast afterwards. A menagerie of exotic animals entertained the guests.

Under the watchful supervision of the monks and nuns of the Monastery of the Iron Path, a solemn act of worship was performed. Akolyte Azkhan Khorzavi and the captain of the Gudkaede, Ossur Fezim, were seen in joint prayer, preparing for the Akolyte’s forthcoming journey.

Whispers spread through the halls about the mission’s purpose, as the Captain’s personal involvement hinted at a matter of great importance.

The sisters and brothers of the Iron Path gathered in silence, watching as Akolyte Azkhan Khorzavi walked to the altar. Slowly, he placed strange, old artifacts at the foot of the altar, objects from foreign lands, their purpose unknown and their presence uneasy.

What happened next was unclear. Khorzavi began a rite, speaking prayers with great passion, while the air filled with his booming voice. Some said they felt a strange power as he worked to cleanse the artifacts from the taint of mytteri.

Above it all stood Vorian, the silent guardian of House Perzatis, watching without a word, his gaze impossible to read.

There is talk about what happened at the Monastery of the Iron Path during Dommer Azkhan Khorzavi’s lecture on the Hierarchy of Order. Many came to listen, including the monks and nuns of the monastery, noble Mulan, and even some foreigners. People say it was strange to see outsiders among the faithful, but they sat quietly and listened to every word.

After the lecture, something surprising happened. One of the foreigners knelt down in front of the Iron altar and swore loyalty to the Iron Tyrant. The Dommer performed the Iron Baptism right there, making the foreigner part of the Lawgiver’s faith. Some say it shows how the Church is growing stronger, even in places far from its heart.

The monks and nuns of the Monastery of the Iron Path bore witness to a new arrival, brought under the watchful eye of Dommer Azkhan Khorzavi. For a length of time, the words of the Iron Truth were spoken into the ears of the newcomer.

The scene came to its end as the Dommer departed, leaving the man on his knees, preparing himself. A coiled whip lay at his side. As the double doors to the inner sanctum closed, the first of many lashes echoed through the stone halls.
