The lighter purple is great. It's easy to see and gives a good visual cue while still being muted enough not to be distracting when it pops up. Thank you for tweaking it!

I find the new colour both more noticeable and nicer than the regular text, I'd almost rather normal chat was in it.

It is very readable though.
