New Character Area Is Too Dark
« on: October 20, 2021, 11:15:57 PM »
For an area where we're customizing our skin color, armor colors, armor appearance, etc, the new character area is seriously dark. Tab key helps but also highlights the dummies in blue and makes it hard to see the colors. Could the room just be made brighter?

This was literally my biggest problem too with character shaping. Trying to be meticulous with the smallest pieces on equipment, including the colors on each part usually ends up being frustrating. What sometimes helps is that I'm always holding "tab" to highlight myself, or I'll turn up the gama in the game settings. In the end though it's really awkward to work with, still trying to squint my eyes to figure out if it even works without the unusual tweaks to see in the dark.

I think adding some extra light sources next to the dyeing dummies and mirrors could be an immense quality to character making.

Or at the very least a separate area for the dummies so you can customize your outfits in good lighting.

Wasn't there a bright light showing up when you were using dummies a while ago? Having that back would be neat! Even for dummies outside of the New Character Area.

I've added light to the dummies/mirrors when they're used.

If its still not bright enough, you can also adjust the gamma slider for your game to see in the dark. Helps a lot for visually impaired folk.
