THE VALLAKI GARDA LUMBER DRIVE!

In lieu of recent threats to the safety of the municipality, the Vallaki Garda is putting forth an effort to better strengthen defenses around the city beginning with fortifications to the walls.  This will begin with the collection of raw lumber to aide with the fortifications of the municipality's walls and other defenses.  Locals and outlanders alike are asked to help gather oak or beech lumber only.  Each bundle of wood should be stored in the Vallaki Warehouses and can then be delivered to a private or higher rank.  For now, we ask this drive is done on a donation basis and offer gratitude to those who participate.

The next step will also be contracting skilled surveyors, masons, and carpenters to assist in the fortifications of our walls once the lumber drive is completed.  Interested parties may reach out via letter.  As a matter of security, Gundarakites and outlanders in poor standing with the law need not apply.

Lastly, we ask that the residents of Vallaki plant two trees for any tree that has been harvested in Barovia.  This will not only ensure that we do not decimate our natural resources, but also to alleviate the struggles of the shortages we still face across Barovia by doubling the amount of lumber we can harvest in the years to come.
