Defensive Stance broken again.
« on: August 06, 2021, 04:18:37 PM »

Engaged this swordsman by myself. Not flat footed. 1v1. Unsure what the actual technical problem *is* but it is -very- broken as you can see, my ac is decreasing by at least 13 in stance. went unconcious, got back up, did it again. Relogged. Rebuffed. Out of stance I had the proper AC, it seems.. It appears that more than the +4 isnt applied in stance, again it seems to go far far below if you look at the screenshot, I took it as soon as I had that in the combat log and my AC was 52.

What's the stat on your character sheet?

It was the same as the inventory ac. Str and con applied properly too.

Dex stays normal, on the sheet everything supposedly is fine. Whether im flat footed or not I am immune to it, the AC is way way down. I wish I had more info for you, but I can tell you its much worse than Just the +4 dodge not working in the stance, it goes lower than that, like last time.

Waited 2 days after the initial post, re-equipped everything, went unarmed, went with weapon for parry ac... unarmed, players, npcs. doesn't matter.

Alright, so the issue is you're flagged as flat-footed, which is far from ideal. I'll look into it to find another solution.

Gotcha. I assure you I was engaged and not flat footed during these AC errors, or I wouldn't have posted them.

You're still flagged as flat-footed even if in combat; it wasn't documented but I did some testing and that's what that effect does.

I'll change it to a 99% move speed reduction with a system that detects if the PC moved from their spot to jump them back there.

This won't cause issues with action cancelling will it?

The scripts I know of for JumpTo and ActionJumpTo are performed as actions added to the start or end of an action queue respectively, and it'd do some wonky fast movements & teleports if Freedom of Movement is cast and going to apply immunity to movement speed reduction..
Currently playing Karaz Steel, the Knave with the Glaive.

This should now mostly be fixed; we'll see if it's an improvement or not.

Fixed and AC working properly, no longer getting stuck in animation. I call that a win. Thanks EO, case closed.
