The rule originally stated as "Muling" has been adjusted to read "Sharing of items/Muling/Tweaking/Unplayed Characters".

Quote from: Ravenloft: PotM Server Rules (#7)
SHARING OF ITEMS/MULING/TWEAKING/UNPLAYED CHARACTERS

- Leaving items/gold for one of your other characters is not acceptable. If you have more than one character on the server, remember they are two different people.

If you have more than one character on the server, neither character can do anything to directly influence the IC events of the other.

A friendly reminder to those players new and old. There are very few restrictions placed on this server (most revolve around PRC's and multi-classing). We as a team encourage and support all types of role-play and unique character backgrounds, however there are a couple of rules that make the playing field level for everyone and we ask kindly that you abide by them. Please take a minute and review any recent changes.

Consistent Rulings & Punishments: Discord
« Reply #4 on: February 24, 2017, 12:03:18 PM »
In order to make clear our policies and procedures on moderating the Discord server which has so quickly become a key and integrated part of our community, we have decided to post publicly the standards we use in determining consequences for infractions of our forum/Discord rules. Please note that we reserve the right to modify these without announcement, and we reserve the right to flexibility in situations of particularly grave or minor infractions.

:arrow:Excessive Swearing/Spamming/Inappropriate Language or Discussion/Misuse of Discord Features: Players should take care not to swear or repeatedly spam lines of text in the chat, or discuss topics that are obviously inappropriate for public conversations.  While we try to be as lenient as possible with occasional slip-ups, punitive measures may be taken if an individual regularly crosses the line or shows a lack of effort to follow chat guidelines.  Also, the @mention feature is not to be used to get DM help with generic requests or to ask a DM to come ingame for you.
(First Offence) - Verbal Warning
(Second Offence) - Second Warning
(Third Offence) - Third Warning
(Fourth Offence) - Final Warning
(Fifth Offence) - 3 Day Ban
(Sixth Offence) - 1 Week Ban Recurring

 Racism, Sexism, and Similar Remarks*:  These kinds of remarks are not tolerated in the chat, even in joking or between friends.  If you are not sure if something is appropriate, it's best to be safe and not say it or ask a moderator via Direct Message.
(First Offense) - Final Warning
(Second Offense) - 1 Week Ban
(Third Offense) One Month Ban
(Fourth Offense) Indefinite Ban
*If the remarks in question are serious enough, a ban may be the first level of punishment.

 Sharing Current IC Info:  Players should take care not to share IC info on things such as on-going events between players or DMs, Recent PvP, outcomes of IC interactions, ect.  Players should not share player locations (even their own) , OOCly form dungeon parties, ask for IC help/raises from other players, or do anything that would compromise the integrity of IC motivations.  Telling old "war stories" is not an issue.  Sharing info that could be used to metagame or OOCly influence events occurring ingame is against the rules.
(First Offense) - First Warning
(Second Offense) - Final Warning
(Third Offense) - 3 Day Ban
(Fourth Offense) - 1 Week Ban
(Fifth Offense) - 1 Month Ban
(Sixth Offense) - Indefinite Ban

 Harassment or Personal Attacks*:  Calling out a specific player for IC/OOC slights, life choices, RP style, etc...  is never allowed.  If there is a concern about a specific player's actions, behavior, or anything else, a CC or DM should be contacted privately to forward your concerns.
(First Offense) - Final Warning
(Second Offense) - 1 Month Ban
(Third Offense) - Indefinite Ban
*If the situation is deemed serious enough, the player in question may receive a Ban on first offense.

 Pornography, Sexually Graphic Text, or Other Extreme Content*: Players should not share any content (Pictures, Videos, Text, etc...) depicting nudity, sexual acts, extreme content such as real life murders/executions, or any other content that is objectively unreasonable and offensive for the chat.  For text - anything that would get you banned for cyber ingame falls under this category.  We have minors in our community, and knowingly making pornography available to them is not only inappropriate but a violation of the law in the United States and other countries.
(First Offense - Final Warning)
(Second Offense - Indefinite Ban)
*Depending on the content in question and the severity of the infraction, it is possible to be banned on the first offense.

 Ban Evasion:  Using any means to circumvent a Discord Ban of any length will result in your ban becoming indefinite or possibly permanent in length.
(First Offense - Indefinite or Permanent Ban)

If you believe a Moderator has unfairly corrected you or wish to dispute an infraction, you should privately contact a DM and discuss the matter with them.  The PotM Discord is not the appropriate place to publicly air grievances or try and argue your side.  It is up to chat moderators to decide what is and is not appropriate, so their word is to be taken as final in the matter unless ruled otherwise.

A reminder concerning Discord logins: All accounts must identify themselves either by a forum account or an IG login. Failure to do so will result in being removed from the chat.  If you would rather that your Discord username stay the same and your nickname change, a DM can set your nickname in the PotM Discord server to whatever you would prefer.
