Is there a way to fix the Lantern Archon's AI (Lesser Planar Binding)

On paper the Lantern Archon is an amazing summon. However it is a caster summon, and the AI seems to think that it is a fighter (melee) summon. Is there a way to fix the AI for this creature so that when it is summoned by lesser planar binding, it actually uses its spells instead of trying to punch everything?
