The Har'Akir Mist Way still has some Wall of Ra attributes to it, so it can start delivering Wall of Ra damage.
However, if it's locked, it also starts the "thrown back by the Mists" animation, which is long enough that the Wall of Ra damage can kill you.
Further, this makes it very hard for your body & belongings to be retrieved, and also immediately bounces your spirit back to the Near Ethereal when you try and step back into the light.
All in all, a really nasty and annoying glitch.
