Old Svalich Road - Svalich Pass

Along the road, just before the massive gates separating Eastern and Western Barovia, the sounds of construction can be heard. Before long, a sign appears on the path directing travellers to the Old Svalich Refuge if they need shelter, free of charge.

[It is said that the Old Svalich Road will take you to hell. The mist there was profane at the darkened and foreboding  gates. Screaming and screeching could be heard echoing from the heights. The road  slippery with with blood in some places, and laughter, hideous laughter and then silence.]
