Familiar AI overrides controls

When possessing familiar it still fires spells/bolts/whatever as it pleases when enemies are around.

Does this include if you command it to stand its ground first before possession?

You can stop it that way but its bothersome if you are in a life or death situation.
Its unique to PotM, possessed familiars wont go maverick when playing elsewhere.

When I've got a predatory creature animal-empathy'd, I sometimes have to spam Hold Your Ground continuously if I don't want it wandering off and nomming on every hostile thing within its sight radius ... well, I mean that's somewhat immersive, like I can barely control this dangerous beast that's just yearning to be wild and free.

My druid's companion is the same. There is no stopping it from murdering everything in sight, and eventually running off to die if I do not spam hold/follow every few seconds. Made me stop using it unless I'm completely stationary tbh.
Insatisfait permanent, c'est ça l'apanage du champion.

I noticed that my summoned creature stood still while surrounded by 10 enemies which attacked it in melee. I had to force it to attack nearest a few times for it to actually start fighting.
