Rumor is abounding as the next Meistersinger Competition to lead the village of Chebney fast arrives. On Sunday the 21st of February.

The competition seems rather competitive this year with even people from distant places coming to compete in the relatively small village, known for its past hauntings and the terrible loss of a previous meistersinger's voice in a tragic tale. There is the word of increased wolf attacks due to reduced prey creatures amidst poor rains and ashen air. Regardless of the circumstances, for one reason or another, there is increased hype and excitement to the point people from across Kartakass seem to be trickling in to observe the contest with even some foreigners attempting to participate. It appears Vistani have arrived in perhaps coincidence or perhaps an omen not yet known...

It is said that the Meistersinger's Competition in Chebney proved inconclusive; darkness falls upon the woods surrounding the village and the terrible baying of wolves is all that can be heard. Chebney, leaderless, is unable to withstand an attack against the village by a pack of massive wolves. They enter the homes of the villagers, slaughtering them wholesale. Only the apothecary is left untouched; soon, all of Chebney is transformed into a ghost town, with all of Kartakass giving it a wide berth.
