Hak Update 2_25 - Detailed List of Changes

We've now loaded a new version of the hak on the test server to test several new features and changes.

At this point we'll need your help testing this new content to make sure it works properly and there are no bugs. If you wish to help us test, you'll need to download the following haks:

-CEP 2.65 (if you don't already have it, download and extract to your My Documents\Neverwinter Nights\ folder)
-Ravenloft Hak 2_25 (extract to your My Documents\Neverwinter Nights\ folder)

Once you have extracted both haks into the Neverwinter Nights folder, you will find our test server at IP Address & Port: 46.4.59.55:5124 - use it for "Direct Connect". Once connected, you can either use existing characters or create a new one, using the new class, which can be found at the bottom of the list of classes; all new characters can freely level up to level 20 on the test server for now. You can find more detailed information here.

Try to test as many things as possible, such as spellcasting, feats, unique abilities, leveling, multiclassing, etc. and report anything that feels off, or incorrect here. I've updated the list of changes to include scripting changes that can be tested as well.

Class Changes & Fixes:
-Updated the voodan's spell progression.
-Added Mage Armor to hexblades.
-Updated the hexblade's Aura of Unluck to provide 50% concealment rather than 20%.
-Replaced the Pixie's and Faerie Dragon's Improved Invisibility with Invisibility.
-Added Open Lock and Disable Trap to Gremishka.

Feat Changes:
-Added 9 Combat Form feats for fighters.
-Updated the requirements and abilities of the fighter's Charisma feats: Rallying Cry, Inspire Competence and Final Stand.

Spell Changes:
-Updated the Awaken spell to provide an Intelligence bonus and the ability to speak to the target.
-Updated Bloodletting to work on all melee weapon sizes.

Miscellaneous:
-Imported a large crafting update: herbalism, woodworking and smithing are affected.
-Added new mirror placeable and items (club model 13).
-Added a new helmet (207).
-Resized the Mist Dragon's hit box.

Scripting:
-Added support for the Darkling Half Vistani subrace (only available with an application)

Feats

Combat Focus

Type of Feat: Combat Form
Prerequisite: Fighter 6.
Required For: Combat Absorption, Combat Awareness, Combat Defense, Combat Hardiness, Combat Speed, Combat Stability, Combat Strike, Combat Vigor
Specifics: In battle, the character pushes aside the chaos of the fight and attains a focused state that grants him a keen, clear picture of the battle. Fear and pain ebb away as he focuses solely on defeating his enemy. At the end of the first round he attacks a creature, he gains his combat focus, his mind and body becoming one, allowing him to overcome mundane physical limits. He maintains his focus for 9 rounds + 1 per Combat Form feat he has after entering it. He can only gain his combat focus once per encounter. While maintaining his combat focus, he gains a +1 bonus on Will saves for each Combat Form feat he has up to a maximum of +5. If he has three or more Combat Form feats, this bonus applies to all saving throws.
Use: Automatic, but limited to one use per day for every two fighter levels, with a 60 seconds cooldown between each use.


Combat Absorption

Prerequisite: Combat Focus, Constitution 12, Resist Energy (Any), Fighter 8.
Specifics: While maintaining his combat focus, the character becomes better at resisting the elements. He gains damage resistance 2/- versus acid, cold, electricity, fire, and sonic for each Combat Form feat he has up to a maximum of 10/-. If he has five or more Combat Form feats, he also gains damage resistance versus positive and negative energy.
Use: Automatic.


Combat Awareness

Prerequisite: Combat Focus, Blind-fight, Wisdom 12, Fighter 12.
Specifics: While maintaining his combat focus, the character has an uncanny ability to sense where his opponents will next strike. As he attains greater mastery of this fighting style, he learns to sense a foe's presence even with his eyes closed. He gains a +2 bonus to Parry for each Combat Form feat he has up to a maximum of +10. If he has three or more Combat Form feats, he also gains the effects of the spell True Seeing, as if cast by a caster of his fighter level.
Use: Automatic.


Combat Defense

Prerequisite: Combat Focus, Dodge, Dexterity 12, Fighter 9.
Specifics: While maintaining his combat focus, the character become better at dodging blows. He gains a +1 dodge bonus to AC for every two Combat Form feats he has up to a maximum of +5. If he has three or more Combat Form feats, he gains the benefits of Uncanny Dodge I.
Use: Automatic.


Combat Hardiness

Specifics: While maintaining his combat focus, the character's body toughens, allowing him to absorb more blows. He gains damage reduction 2/+3 for each Combat Form feat he has up to a maximum of 10/+3. If he has three or more Combat Form feats, the damage reduction granted by each Combat Form feat improves to 2/+4.

Combat Speed

Prerequisite: Combat Focus, Dexterity 13, Fighter 16.
Specifics: While maintaining his combat focus, the character moves around faster in battle. He gains a 10% movement speed increase for each Combat Form feat he has up to a maximum of 50%. If he has five or more Combat Form feats, he also gains an extra attack per round.
Use: Automatic.


Combat Stability

Prerequisite: Combat Focus, Strength 12, Fighter 6.
Specifics: When maintaining his combat focus, the character becomes difficult to dislodge. His muscles lock into an unyielding position, granting him superior ability to resist attempts at disarming him or knocking him off his feet. He gains a +2 bonus to Discipline for each Combat Form feat he has up to a maximum of +10. If he has three or more Combat Form feats, he gains the benefits of Back to the Wall.
Use: Automatic.


Combat Strike

Specifics: While maintaining his combat focus, the character is better able to exploit his enemies' weaknesses, landing more precise and deadly blows. He gains a +1 bonus to attack for every two Combat Form feats he has up to a maximum of +5. If he has three or more Combat Form feats, this bonus also applies to damage.
Use: Automatic.


Combat Vigor

Prerequisite: Combat Focus, Toughness, Constitution 13, Fighter 16.
Specifics: While maintaining his combat focus, the character's clarity of purpose and relentless drive allow him to overcome his body's frailties. Minor wounds heal in a matter of seconds, and he quickly recovers from even a grievous blow. He regenerates 1 hit point per round for each Combat Form feat he has up to a maximum of 5. If he has five or more Combat Form feats, he also gains Damage Reduction 3/-.

Final Stand

Prerequisite: Fighter level 16, Cha 12+
Specifics: Once per day, the character can inspire his allies to a heroic effort. Each ally (including himself) within 30 feet gains 10 hit points + his Charisma modifier for every four fighter levels for a duration of one turn and a number of turns equal to half his fighter levels + his Charisma bonus.

Inspire Competence

Prerequisite: Fighter level 12, Cha 12+
Specifics: Once per day, the character can inspire his allies in combat. All affected creatures (including himself) within 60 feet gain a +1 bonus to Attack and Damage, and a +1 bonus against mind-affecting effects for every five fighter levels for a duration of one turn and a number of turns equal to half his fighter levels + his Charisma bonus.

Rallying Cry

Specifics: Three times per day, the character can utter a powerful shout that gives all allies (including himself) within 60 feet a +1 bonus to attack for every five fighter levels and a 20% bonus to movement speed for a duration of one turn and a number of rounds equal to half his fighter levels + his Charisma bonus.
Use: Selected.

Crafting Update Includes:
- 10 new metal types.
- 9 new wood essences
- Some of them as standard spawning resources, some that can be made with resources already existing, some being rare exotic components available only through loot drops.
- A rebalance of DCs for crafts involving these materials to make it faster for casual crafters to be able to produce useful gear.
- A bug making some type of herbs not to spawn correctly should be corrected.
- Some herbs from higher level areas will now produce potions at an higher effective caster level, the recipes are unchanged but may require double the amount of herbs.
- The DC between crafting tier has been adjusted to account for the greater amount of potions now craftable, to make some of the potions intended for lower levels to be easier to produce, and make it easier for casual players to get into crafts.
- The crafting of Heal potions is being disabled until a better alternative is identified.

Leatherworking and Tailoring will be the next updated crafts in the next HAK update.

-Updated the hak and module to load fixes to the crafting system and combat form feats.
-Revised Combat Strike and Combat Absorption, clarified the feat description of Combat Focus. (see above for details)

Leatherworking Crafting
- 11 New types of leathers, 7 types of chitins and scales.
- Some spawning in game, some being exotic loot drops.
- A very few hides had their DC adjusted.
- Significant adjustment to make boiling leather easier.

Note, not all new options will be available right away, but work is in progress to bring all the new options.

A few more adjustments:
- Heal potions rebalanced at caster level 6 efficiency. Their crafting with herbalism will be maintained.
- Vampire Hearts now exchanged for the equivalent of potent cure crital wounds potions instead of Heal.
- Strong negative alchemical reagents added to some higher level areas.
- Large array of disguise items added to the loot drops.
- Crafting containers adjusted to accept the new components.
