Varnishes not triggering aggro

Dunno if any of these things relate to one another or the recent change when monsters were *too* aggressive and all running immediately to casters, but as was true with guns for a while, it appears the AI will ignore varnish attacks if done at a sufficient distance.

A player reported in chat being able to use 40 varnishes on the Mist Dragon without its reacting.

If it is just a peculiarity of the dragon and thus an exploit, please remove this topic.

Well using it like that repeatedly is clearly an exploit and would lead to the appropriate consequences (1 week ban for first offense).

I’m pretty sure he was stuck in the wall. Agro was defiantly triggered. He was roaring and trying to move and used his breath weapon a couple times. There wasn’t a DM on and I sure wasn’t going to walk over and get eaten to death. One of those rare freak things. I figured he must have gotten his tail caught in the door.
He’d have roasted me if “I” had got stuck in the wall.
Good luck trying to replicate it.
