The Order of the Arbiter
The Hexadic Oath
Upon my soul I swear to thee,
These oaths are what shall now bind me.
For man is weak with mind unwise,
And needs a guide to fend demise.
Not from by spell, nor club or knife,
But death of soul and truth and life.
So hear these words and keep me true,
Should I betray, give me my due.

I
I shall press forward upon my path,
And make not pause for bleakness.
II
I slay not out of hate, nor wrath,
But weigh the soul's uniqueness.
III
I hold not greed for sacrifice,
For I am but a servant.
IV
I'll master fate and know death's price,
And make my mark observant.
V
I will not take more than I must,
And balance force with purpose.
VI
I'll seek Perfection from the dust,
Of my completed service.

I swear these Oaths in sight of all,
For this is falsehood's great deterrent.
So heed these truths and hear my call,
I am Life's Judge and Death's Pale Serpent.
