Apparent stealth/disguise detection
« on: October 08, 2020, 05:17:10 AM »
Heya

Is it possible to have stealthed character provide any indication that they are actually in stealth mode even for detectors who can see them? RP-wise it makes alot of sense to be able to notice if someone is trying to hide even if you can see them, and also it would help to avoid blowing people's cover in like saying hi to people who are trying to be hidden, or noticing someone is trying to follow you instead of just walking the same direction as you are.

Same goes for disguise, currently when you pierce someone's disguise you can no longer see his disguised name unless you scroll up, which leads to referring to him as his real name which can cause meta issues even if you dont intend to (and get ppl oocly angry).

thank you!

If you use the Examine feat on a player, not only will it give an impression of their stats (dependant on your PC’s own stats), but anyone in stealth will have the text ‘this person is trying to stay hidden’, or words to that effect.

Although this thread is pretty much solved, I'd like to pitch in with my own suggestion that information be made clear without having to examine someone.

I don't really know how you could do that, short of making a set of stealth animations that put your character in a sort of crouching stance, if that's possible.
Insatisfait permanent, c'est ça l'apanage du champion.

I kind of like it that you have to actively check to see if they are being sneaky. Fits in with the idea that you can notice people doing sneaky stuff, but not be aware their intentions without actively watching what they are doing.
