NWN Hak Update Open Test - 2_24
« on: September 27, 2020, 12:13:56 AM »
Greetings fellow mist dwellers!

With the arrival of patch 8193.16, we've updated our haks to both add new content and align ourselves with the changes. Once again, we'll need your help testing it before releasing it on the main server. Some of the changes won't be visible to players, others you will get to appreciate from day 1. You can find a compilation of all the changes here: https://www.nwnravenloft.com/forum/index.php?topic=55587.0

Before fully implementing it on the main server, we really could use some help testing. We've put up a test server using the same IP as our main server, but using port 5124 instead (so direct connect to 46.4.59.55:5124).

In addition to updating the game, to be able to enter the test server, you need to download and install this package: Download (extract it to your Documents \ Neverwinter Nights directory, it will override existing files, but should still be compatible with the main server). If you haven't downloaded it yet (ie: if you only use NWSync), you will need to download CEP 2.65 here as well and extract the files to the proper folders.

If you use Steam you’ll need to unsubscribe from the POTM workshop to test the hak; you can subscribe to the CEP 2.65 one though.

Once we're satisfied with testing, we will release it to the main server and patch it, hopefully soon.

We'd appreciate if you could give it a try and report back any bugs or other issues on the forums. Please pre-fix any topic you make pertaining to the hak test with "Hak-test". The test server runs an older copy of the server vault but new characters can level to 20 automatically and all prestige classes are enabled.  Don't be afraid to experiment - whatever happens on the test server will not affect the main server and your character there.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
