Do you have a screenshot? Are you trying to connect with enhanced edition?

yes, i've the EE, when i try to log i've a message "echec de connection", or the server ask me for a password i don't have.. i guess you could advise me

The server isn't passworded so that doesn't seem right. Confirm you are connecting to the right server.

Did you get the NWSync to download the additional content?

I'd recommend if you continue to experience issues you hop on the discord server, there's a channel there for technical support.

Mmmm not sure, make sure you download all the sync files and try again. Also make sure you're not trying to join with the DM client.

Related to this but not the exact question, is Direct Connect superior to the alternate route of connecting to the server? There are some days I'll have random disconnections every couple of hours or more (specifically that thing that happens where you are still seeing and moving around in game but notice you can't talk to others or interact with anything and you realize you lost connection). This is not due to a poor or slow internet connection. North American player fwiw.

I thought inputting the URL given and using Direct Connect might alleviate this problem but I have no idea if Direct Connect is helpful one way or the other.

If it asked you for a password, it's because you tried to login via the DM client. When launching from Steam, make sure to select the option to login as a player.

Sorry i post again, cause i found the matter, i use the ravenloft launcher, and he want to use Steam, alas i play with a GOG version !!!
How can i remove the launcher and be able to play in multiplayer?

First thing. Ensure you are using the "Enhanced Edition", Ravenloft: Prisoners of the Mist is not compatible with the "Diamond" or any other variant versions of NWN, only Enhanced Edition will work.

You are correct, the Ravenloft Launcher is not used anymore, do not attempt to use it.

Secondly, the error you are receiving may very likely be because your 'Player Name' has not been selected as the "Save as Default" this is a known issue with the Enhanced Edition and servers 'refusing' playernames. (see screenshot below)



Simply select that checkbox (you can undo this later) and then it will likely refuse your name one last time, the next time you login after that last failed attempt, the server should accept your login attempt.

When i launch the EE with GoG, the game use your launcher, so i have not the  picture you show me, and actually can't creat a new account, i don't understand really, worst i'll lost my character in others servers

Je me suis pris le jeu y a peu aussi et j'ai eu aucun soucis en passant via steam.
Apriori tu explique que tu passe par le launcher ravenloft et que c'est sûrement à cause de ça que ça bug. A mon avis le plus simple si tu peux c'est de de tout desinstaller et de réinstaller le jeu pour passer par le launcher nwn de base.

D'ailleurs même en passant via gog tu n'as pas de clef steam directement ?
