Bad appearance: Lowland Loup-Garou

I just find it inappropriate. We have rules on the server to protect minors but we still haven't gotten rid of the nip slip torso or this abomination.

Anyone else agree the old werewolf models are oddly less "uncanny valley" looking?

We haven't had a hak since these were implemented to update them. It is not rated R, however. It is a tuft of hanging fur and not what the adult mind projects it to be otherwise!

(We do know what it looks like, however.)

I see. OK, maybe this belongs in suggestions then, because my next proposition would be to replace it with the old models. I sincerely believe there's more to raw polycount and texture resolution making up a good creature's design, and the old ones are less of an eyesore, with much better animations in all categories too.

The tuft of hanging fur is a great example of this. It looks more like a joke by the artist rather than an honest attempt to create a convincing tuft of hanging fur.

Jokes aside, I don't really see it as R rated though from the picture you posted however.

It looks pretty suspect at a glance. In motion, I think this model is vastly inferior to the old ones. Its animations look incredibly wacky, its hands don't even touch the player when making its weak attack movements. The old werewolf models had some cool dodging animations and the way they reach out to stab enemies with their claws was a lot more evocative of the werewolf aesthetic than the way these things carelessly try to slap their victims.

It's funny you say that. I actually created the original concept art for these werewolves based on baguettes.

I love the new models, but ever since noticing their extra "addition", I can't take them seriously. Never fails to get a laugh out of me. Good times.

I see nothing wrong with the new model. Looks more like a loin cloth to me than any kind of appendage.

The loincloth issue is already fixed in the next hak update. We don't plan to revert to the old models for lowland and mountain loup-garous, despite your personal preferences Sardine.

I'm cool with that, just wanted to touch on the point of their inferiority from a technical standpoint. Glad to see the issue was fixed though.
