Wolves in Vallaki?

*Strange rumors spread through the night of twin dire wolves hunting through the city of Vallaki through the night, yet they avoid the common folks, seeming to target the wererats and vermin of the night, just before dawn, whispers speak of the wolves ducking into the sewers and out of the town, strangely...the beasts have even been heard to be saving those running from the werebeasts and leaving the people get to shelter*

*Another night and more whispers of two dire wolves walking the street, never do they near the peoples houses, letting them rest contently...but for the wererats its an entirely different story, several whispers of wererats being ripped apart through the city, regardless of district, even nearing the garda walls to protect the garda from the wererats who try to scale the walls. Yet as soon as the wererats are dead, and the dawn coming...the two dire wolves...are gone.*

*The howls echo, wererats squealing as they run from their hunters, no longer so swift to believe they own the streets as they are being ripped apart by two dire wolves, then hunts seeming to last till dawn*

*A few nights pass, perhaps the wolf was gone, but no...tonight the howling returns...with the deaths of dozens of wererats*

The Initiate of Ezrite Templars roams the streets of Vallaki during the night, a man wearing the Holy Symbol of Ezra, silver gilded armor and silver shortblades.

He seeks the wererats perhaps attempting to keep to the streets safer, but he is suddenly distracted by the howling.

Going toward the howling's direction he steps into a small street.

A dozen of dead wererats lie in a pool of their own blood, massacred.

"Who... what did this...?"

The Initiate now looks toward the sky as the sun slowly rises.

"I need to look into this..."

He thought, before sheating his blades, he examines the scene and walks away.

*as the sun sets, the first howl of the night is heard, perhaps a death warning to the wererats that the wolves are on the prowl*

*The howls start again and soon, wererat corpses cover the streets, the whispers of the twin dire wolves hunting the streets is easy to hear*

The sun sets on Vallaki, but for the wolves, it has only begun, the howling starts again as the twin Dire Wolves take to the streets*

The Initiate joins the hunt with the wolves.

Some of the wererats show cuts of a sharp blade, killed in a less brutal way as maybe a wolf would.

Just before dawn, as quickly as the wolves arrived, they were gone again, rumors suggest they fled down the sewers and out of the city...others suggest they hid in the Morninglord Temple IN the city.

Once more the acclaimed man "The Hunter" is spotted wandering the Streets of Vallaki. The rumors of wolves wandering the streets and dead were rats intriguing the man to stake out the roads at night. Several wererats find themselves with sharp arrows or bolts placed in their backs the linger smoke of cherry scented ambers filling the air briefly appearing and disappearing.

A strange sighting is found that eve, the wolves do not leave the slums, the body of a young garda is found dead surrounded by wererat remains that are freshly killed by the wolves...yet there is nothing the wolves can do but offer a mournful howl, the door being shut from the outside as they move on to continue the hunt

As night falls the sound of the wolves is evident, three greater wererats taking the opportunity to try and take the pack down, only to be heard screeching and chittering as they are soon ripped apart in the street by the wolves, their corpses left as evidence of what happens to wererats in Vallaki
