If Tanarukk have a natural claw attack, it might be showing that instead of whatever you have equipped as a weapon.
It sounds like the same bug that dragon disciples get once they unlock their claw attacks. If it is the same, the discrepancy should only exist on your character sheet, and even when it's showing the wrong damage dice you'll notice you still hit as hard as your weapon allows you to.
