To the good people of Port-a-Lucine:
The Théâtre de la Cathédrale is shocked and saddened by this brazen attack against the gentle citizens of the city and its cultural institutions.
We grieve the innocent lives lost, and salute the courageous guard of House Jalabert who boldly gave their lives in defense of one of Dementlieu's artistic crown jewels. We further thank the Gendarmerie Nationale de Dementlieu for their heroic and selfless response in our time of need.
A charity fund has been established to support the next-of-kin of those lives lost. Their sorrows and burdens are our own.
We hope the coming days shed light on the perpetrators of this senseless attack and stand firm in unbroken resolve shoulder-to-shoulder with the people of Port-a-Lucine against our cowardly foes.
