So I was on my way towards Krofburg, when just 2 areas before I reached my destination I got surprised by a pack of gragcats. They killed my Ox, then proceeded to chase me, since I didn't react quick enough, I transitioned into other location, where I ultimately got killed. After a couple minutes my character manages to stabilize, so I go back to have my revenge. However once I killed the cats, I can't find the Ox's body. And thus the whole trip was for naught.
Not sure whether me transitioning areas may have cause the Ox not dropping the stuff though.
