Songs of the Purple Tigan
« on: February 06, 2020, 04:58:37 AM »
[Music of violin can be heard at night from the graveyard of the outskirts of vallaki, from a purple gypsy with a mask sitting on a tombstone, a mournfull dirge, filled with loss and grief]

My Lost Sun

Oh how bright she was my burning Sun,
Nothing compered to her light, she was the only one,
With her, life was worth to living on,
But now, my Sun alas is gone.

She was passion, she was hope, she was love,
when I met her, my heart flew high like a dove,
Her smile was bright, like the approaching dawn
But now, my Sun alas is gone.

Her eyes were the mirrors of my soul,
With those my heart she stole,
I thought that I finished to be alone,
But now, my Sun alas is gone.

Before her time she was taken from me,
Her liveless features took all my glee,
I thought that I my life was moving on,
But now, my Sun alas is gone.

Never I wil see my bride again,
My life is now filled with anguish and pain,
Darknes to me is appraching on,
Because now, my Sun alas is gone.

[A masked purple gypsy play his violin and sing near the Tser Pool]

Half Man

I was wrong to say I loved her
I was wrong to think I'm right
But when I saw her dying
My darling I had died
I've been running from my demons
Afraid to look behind
I've been running from myself
Afraid of what I'd find

But how am I supposed to love
When I don't love who I am?
And how can I give  all of me
When I'm only half a man?
'Cause I'm a sinking ship that's burning
So let go of my hand
Oh, how can I give all of me
When I'm only half a man?

And now I'm stuck in this inn room
By fickle candle light
I've been waiting for an answer
But it don't come tonight
And every bottle I had stolen
Lay shattered on the floor
What's broken can't be whole, anymore

But how am I supposed to love
When I don't love who I am
And how can I give all of me
When I'm only half a man
'Cause I'm a sinking ship that's burning
So let go of my hand
And how can I give you all of me
When I'm only half a man?

And no one can ever hurt me
Like I've hurt myself
'Cause I'm made out of stone
And I'm beyond help
Don't give your heart to me

But how am I supposed to love
When I don't love who I am?
And how can I give all of me
When I'm only half a man?
'Cause I'm a sinking ship that's burning
So let go of my hand
And how can I give all of me
When I'm only half a man?
Hmm, hmm hmm, hmm, hmm

[A song is performed through the fumes and boisterous sounds of the Lady's Rest, by a purple masked gypsy]

Gypsy's Song

There are some who are born distinguished
There are some who are raised in praise
But me I was always the bastard son in
A blot in my grandfather’s gaze

Cruel tricks of romance
Degraded by their spite
You snub your cub too many times
You just might feel his bite...

Beware, beware of the words I twist
I am mischievous and my reach is long
And the ravens black against the winter's mist
Are whispering the Gypsy's song

They're whispering the Gypsy's song...

The land is a decaying orchard
With fruits so rotten and bitter
With a clink of a coin loose the raven's loin
Play a tune on the gypsy's violin.

In the arms of a whore I made a promise
Sinking deeper into danger every day
Cut through all their shit with a brazen wit
Molding puppets from their minds of clay

I’m no man of honor
Myself is my true king
But somewhere deep within me
The bells of conscience ring

Beware, beware of the words I twist
I am mischievous and my reach is long
And the ravens black against the winter’s mist
Are whispering the Gypsy’s song

They're whispering the Gypsy's song...
Whispering the Gypsy’s song.

[A lonely gypsy mourn over a tombstone and a poem is slowly singed]

Doughter of Fire and Moonlight

"She was strong and brave.
A fight to remember she only wished to crave.

Cheerful and passionate like fire.
No ruled by king or sire.

Her smile was a moonshine in the night.
Now there is only darkness in my sight.

My moonshine, my lover and friend.
Now I only wish for this nightmare to end. "

[The purple masked gypsy, dance and sings in a delirius and sad rythm in the southern forest of Vallaki during a full moon]

Under An Uncaring Moon

Dancing shades,
Darkened wings,
Things I want to forget soon,
And a song someone sings,
Once upon a full moon.

Someone hold me safe and warm,
Demons prance through a silver storm,
Shadows dancing dreadfully across my memory
Someone hold me safe and warm,
Demons prance through a silver storm,
Shadows dancing dreadfully across my memory.
Far away,
Long ago,

Glowing dim as an ember,
Things my heart used to know,
Things it yearns to remember soon
And a song someone sings
Once upon a full moon

[The Purple Tigan, stand in the outskirts of Vallaki, playing the violin and telling the story of the Dawn Maiden]

Dawn Maiden

The sun goes down, such a shame
The cold old night claim our remains,

But then she came like sunlight in the dark
The brave Dawn Maiden, she left her mark,

Of justice and hope she talked
And under the sun she walked,

Against darkness with defiance she fought,
And to bring light in the shadows she sought,

But now the Dawn Maiden, her fight has ended,
Thy lips be cleansed.
