Lesser Varnish Crafting Produces No Varnish

When combining faint dark essence and resin, no varnish is produced.

I attempted to produce the varnish in L'Alchimiste in Port-a-Lucine. The resin and essence were placed in the alchemist's apparatus. The Alchemist's Kit was used on the table. The animation played. I received a crafting success message, but no varnish appeared in the table.

This happened on both tables in the room, with one or multiple reagents on the table.

Can confirm that strong magical varnishes don't produce anything either. Nor do weak acidic Varnishes. Producing essences works fine, but even succeeding at trying to create a varnish yields nothing. Neither negative, draining, acidic, or magical at least, weak or strong. This was on the Outpost Shack.
