Solivagant (The Unpublished Lyrics Of Zujenia)
« on: December 04, 2019, 12:05:39 AM »

Inside the contents of a little black book, with a withered spine, and  a multitude of tsukia and dirt stained pages, are the writings of the female, Half Vistani Bard who Goes by the name Of Zujenia.

We know this to be true, by the signature left on the first page of this little  black book, for which she signed so boldly:

One the second page, denotes a recent entry. Her hand writing is as beautiful as it was messy, perhaps an inkling to her personality as well.

Her first song was simply titled:

He's been a wanderin' From The Moment He found his feet.
and cursin' at the gods, since he learned to speak

For he's been chastised,
and Baptized, and nothing makes him clean,
No, nothing makes him free....

He's been a drinkin, from the moment he felt weak
For he knows, oh he knows, he's already twelve feet deep

He's been chastized,
and Baptised, yet nothing makes him clean
No, Nothing sets him free...

And he cries, oh he cries, how he cries out to me,
"When I look in the Mirror, there's a stranger, in front of me,
Oh Lord, Oh Lord, Send those angles unto me."
For he's  been drowning, and nothing,
Nothing makes him clean...

He's been chastised, and Baptized
and nothing makes him clean,
Lord, Oh Lord, when are you
to set him  free?

Dedicated, To Victor.

On the third page of this little black book, has several scribbles, and words written over one other until she got to her final desired result. It was obviously important to her that her diction was handcrafted perfectly.

This Song, She Titled after much  consideration:

She is a dancer, how she taunts the flames
Spinning and turning, collecting the male gaze
I wish I could save her, But I fear it's far too late
As she dances, dances, dances  among  the flames.

She is a thief, how she steals their hearts,
She is an actress, and damn she plays the part,
I wish I could save her, but I know it's all too late
As she dances, dances, dances among the flames.

She is a woman, how she bears her pain,
And she is a dancer, dancing through the flames
I wish I could save her, But I know it's all too late

For She's consumed, Consumed, Consumed by the flames.

And I, was too late.

On the fourth page of this little black book with a small, purposeful stain of Spirits in the upper left corner of the page. The lyrics resting under it quite delicately.

We were talking till the Late A.M
He asked me what's a drink between friends?
As He filled my cup right to the brim,
Then Something took a hold of me...

We were laughing till the late A.M
And I fit so perfectly in his hands,
So what's some drinks between friends?
Then  something took a hold of me..

We were talking till the late A.M
And he said what's a night between two friends?
He led me up the stairs of the Inn,
And then he took a hold of me.

Then I left his side, In the Late A.M
And I looked over my shoulder at my friend,
I want to share his drink again,
and let him take a hold over me..

On the fifth page, of this little black book is an ornate drawing of a compass, the lyrics of Zujenia are scribbled below. There are many edits along the margin of this page, indicating that it took her quite some time to find the exact words she wished to say.

The day we departed, he left knives in my sides
and when I walked away, there gathered tears in my eyes
and if that wasn't enough, he had the nerve to say to me

"Tell everyone, what you think you see in me.
Tell them I'm the monster, that can't be saved.
Tell them that it's hopeless, to try and call my name.
Tell them that you ran, and you haven't seen me in days.."

I'll tell them, what I know to be true,
if they ever come, asking about you
I'll tell them that you went running, and I went running after you.

Oh yes, we both went running...

Just in different directions.

When I walked away, I never faced regret.
Because the man I loved, wasn't the man that I left.
And if that wasn't enough, he had the nerve to say to me..

"Tell everyone, all the things that you told me,
Tell them that I'm the one, the one that clipped your wings.
Tell them you wasted, all your youth away.
Tell them that you haven't.. seen me in days."

I'll tell them what I know, I know to be true
and if they ever come, asking about you.
I'll tell them that I ran, ran after you.

Oh yes, we both went running..
but in different directions..

[On the sixth page of this little black book, would be a piece of green velvet cloth, pinned to the topped of this page, a set of lyrics following]

There once was a wall of glass, that stood in awe to see,
and such a weary traveler, did that one wall bring,
But something seemed to shatter, and the glass came down,
and now , only  in simple fragments this wall can be found.

In these glass fragments, I don't know what I am seeing.
These  cracks in the glass, frame my sense of believing.
I use to be so confident, and carefree,
but  now there's a stranger, and she's glaring, straight at me.

The paint on my face, is getting duller, in the color,
The addictions that I had, I just keep adding, another.
The Lies that I tell, are getting bigger than myself,
and I'm too prideful, to dare and  ask for help.

In these glass fragments, I don't know what I am seeing.
These  cracks in the glass, frame my sense of believing.
I use to be so confident, and carefree,
but now there's a stranger, and she's glaring, straight at me.

The doubt in my mind, is piercing like an arrow,
the words that they said, ring true like a sparrow,
The light that they once shined, now only seems to blind me,
and the friends that I had, now only look to defy me...

In these glass fragments, I don't know what I am seeing.
These  cracks in the glass, frame my sense of believing.
I use to be so confident, and carefree,
but now  there's a stranger, and she's glaring, straight at me.

Gleaming Waters,
Troubled Daughters,
Worried Fathers,
Take these sins away.

Forced Reasons,
Troubled Treasons,
Heated Seasons
Take these thoughts away.

Sanction me to burn,
I know I can’t return,
Leave me now to burn,
Sweet Aquamarine.

Soft like velvet.
Burns like sin,
Lord, I’ve lost my,
Sense again.

Sanction me to burn,
I know I can’t return,
Leave me now to burn,
Sweet Aquamarine.

Gleaming Water,
Troubled daughters,
Worried Fathers,

That Bested me.

I was content in my iron cage,
The view was quite lovely,
the company was keen
I never sought out, the lock,
Nor the key.

I was quite happy betwixt the bars
My feathers untouched,
The visitors adored me,
I never wished to be set free,
Nor to be seen

Now the cage is left without a door,
the rain leaks in, and the wind is harsh
Inside the cage, I sang so beauitfuilly
I never longed to be open
Nor to see my world deafen.

This old and lowly Gate Keeper,
He tore off the lock and he buried the key
Only to proudly whisper to me

"Never settle, and use those wings,
fly and soar to the highest tree,
and be happy and be so free,
and when you get tired, come back home to me.."

What the Gatekeeper failed to fathom
Is that all a caged bird, knows how to do is sing
The cage was opened, and he pushed me,
he sang  his praises, and honored me

"Never settle and use those wings,
Fly and soar, to the highest tree,
and be so happy and be so free,
and when you get tired come home to me.."

The freedom he granted, is what ruined me
Out Of my cage, my wings bore heavily,
I tried to fly , so naturally,
Above the sea of emerald green

As I hovered above the sea, that would later
come to drown me,
the lowly gatekeeper cried out to me

"She'll never come back to me..
But look at my songbird,
So wild and free.."

Sealed in a letter,
in the past setting suns
Seasons sprung
and the days begun
the present and what is to come

Sealed in a letter,
Little of an explanation
That only fueled
my forgotten frustrations
Lies and promises, all too cruel

Sealed in a letter,
is suggestion, good intentions
a humble word a lesson learned
What is deserved,
and should've been earned.

Sealed in a letter,
is a regret,
for the world that was promised
and yet; was left for a rumor
words that should have been spoken sooner.

Sealed in a letter,
and signed with a phrase
"I love you" is said, both does it remain?

"I love you." is said but does it remain.

Rarely in life, have I been seldom,
Among all these men, yet there is no welcome..

it's bargaining, secrets, and lies shared between
its giving and taking, and temporary.

I was enraged with the present, and betrayed by the past
When I heard a voice, call out to me at last

It was warm and familiar yet foreign to me,
I watched as he constructed a home built for me.

I've watched flames dance
and I've watched a pair of green eyes
and I've seen the stars,
hang lowly at night...

I've sat and I've waited,
and I've stared for a time,
But I've never watched a light,
reflect into mine..

and Felt welcomed,
and felt the heat
I've never felt wanted
and also free

If you're just a stepping stone,
Darling,
Would you'd step closer to me?

He speaks with doubt, and hesitancy
all while his presence takes a hold over me

And I abhor the way, he makes me
weak by his gaze he creates, handcrafted for me

And I've danced before
But never entwined
with hands so caring
trapped next to mine

And I've never felt welcomed
and Felt this heat,
I've never felt wanted,
But also free

You're not a stepping stone,
But darling
Could you step closer to me?

Lately you've been drifting far from me,
you've feared that I've been caught,
In between, reality
Yet here I stand before you at your feet

You're not a stepping stone,
you're home to me..

So could you come back,

and welcome me?

Winding Rivers through the dark,
Lost and Found, within a spark
Shadows fall, and faiths arise
Sunlight beams, in jaded eyes

Hushed whispers, hearted laughs
Thorns and roses, lanterns ash
Sacred smiles, calloused hands
Footprints Sodden, Orbs a dance

Children at play,
Against the daybreak
Lovers in light
amongst the rainfall
we stop, and stare
and marvel at it all
We  might be small,
but we're standing tall
We'll stop and marvel,
and it all

Things once dull, are now rich in color
A calloused hand, now holds another
and she spins on a axel, for all to see
a set of eyes, once void now dream

Whispers shared, like childlike secrets
Promises made, and sworn to keep it
A laugh made, in a world of silence
A burdened soul, made so lightless

Children at play,
against the daybreak
Lovers in light,
amongst the rainfall
we stop and stare,
and marvel at it all
We might be small,
yet we're standing tall
We'll stop and marvel, at it all

This love is young, only several days old
and it is unseen, a story untold
but  we laugh, and we grow
This love is a light, on the path we know
Like children, we ignore what we're told.

Children at play,
against the daybreak
Lovers in light
within in nightfall

we stop and stare,
and marvel at it all

we stop and stare,
and marvel at it all...
