Life is not the end of us, a certainty I know.

The heart will beat its last.
'What then?' you weep, afraid of death.
'What of my final breath?"
Time spent is spent too fast.
But we, those still not gone, are part of something better.
A chance to finally break the bonds of this mortal fetter.
For we can love, and sing and shout. And we can still remember.
Each one of those whose fires died out, to the last glowing ember.
