Height Examination/OCR
« on: June 14, 2019, 05:38:26 PM »
The height examination tool seems to be bugged, not reporting people at or over 6ft tall as such, even on a character with high perception, the readouts were the same.

Spoiler: show
(Character height set to 6ft or so, reported as smaller).
Spoiler: show
(Character height under 5ft, reported as larger).

Furthermore, some OCR doesn't seem to be fixed. For my old characters it seemed to work, (Base 8 ), and my current ones still are at 10 for some odd reason.

EDIT:

Started getting this in my combat log as well all of a sudden, currently unknown cause:

Hit on the head. I'm receiving the exact same issues, my character is five and a half feet being reported as five and one quarter.

My OCR base is also 10 rather than 8, but is this possibly due to being Half-Vistani?

To clarify, some of my characters have a base OCR 8 for some reason, but newly created ones don't seem to have 8, but 10. An undocumented and intended change?

I've already identified the bug that makes everyone appear average height. EO is going to look into the OCR issue.

Was the issue with halfling heights ever confirmed or looked at? I remember someone at some point saying they entered in heights below 36 inches and it seemed fine, but over 36 inches, they actually seemed to shrink.

Going to make a test character just to see if that's accurate

Checked, heights seem to adjust correctly

Bumping this because of the ongoing OCR issue.

I was told any deviation from the average height for a race causes default OCR to be elevated by 2, and this seems the case for my PCs still.

Should I ask to have the OCR adjusted by a DM, or is still in the offing to have a system-wide fix?

My windows cracked, but they can be replaced.

Yeah, my fix will be in the next update. OCR is calculated on use, so a fix will work on all characters instantaneously.

Clearly DND is taking over, there's a lot of D's and N's.

I feel like I've seen this type of post before. Maybe not on these forums specifically, but this post specifically. Chalking up to deja vu until proven otherwise.
