Gate : Bug with weapon?
« on: April 07, 2019, 02:26:21 PM »
So, I just checked the gate spell. If NWN is to be believed, a balor wields a greatsword +1 onehandedly, giving it a base damage of 2d6 + STR.

However, the greatsword only does 1d6 + STR damage? Seems kinda odd that the Balors massive sword is about as damaging as a shortsword.

What you are seeing in the creature sheet is probably its creature weapon's damage, which isn't used:

"This creature has a creature weapon dealing 1d6+7 bludgeoning damage and inflicting fear on-hit, but this is never used as this creature cannot be disarmed."

Oh. To be clear, on the creature sheet when the balor is summoned, it shows 1d6 + STR ingame.

Though, if it's the case of it being portrayed incorrectly on the sheet, then okay, still a bug, but not a big one. As long as it hits for the proper 2d6, it's not a big issue.

Thanks for clearing that up!
