~ ⚜ HOUSE RULES ⚜ ~

The Théâtre de la Cathédrale welcomes all walks of life to attend our shows, be they a foreign guest visiting the City of Lights or a native-born son or daughter of Dementlieu. Furthermore, we do not place a price upon cultural enrichment. Admission to all events is free and shall remain so; all we ask in return is that those who patronize our establishment and watch our performances observe and abide by the following rules and guidelines:

⚜ Be respectful.  Be respectful of others in the audience, of those belonging to the Théâtre de la Cathédrale's troupe, and of House Jalabert and its representatives. Comply with requests made by the Théâtre de la Cathédrale's security personnel, when asked. If there is ever an issue concerning a staff member's conduct or behavior, it should be presented to the Théâtre de la Cathédrale's impresario or impresaria. Disrespect or defamation will not be tolerated and will result in the offensive individual being asked to leave and, in extreme examples, asked to never return.

⚜ Remove all headwear.  We ask that those who are wearing hats, hoods, or any other kind of headwear that could obstruct the view of those behind them see them stowed away, kept at home, or, during more formal events, checked alongside their cloaks or coat as they enter the auditorium.

⚜ Weapons are to be peace-bonded.  In the event of an emergency, the Théâtre de la Cathédrale's security personnel are equipped to deal with threats and dangerous situations. Those who draw steel inside the Théâtre de la Cathédrale without the express permission of the impresario or impresaria who are neither staff members nor officers belonging to the Gendarmerie will not only be asked to leave, but likely be barred from ever returning.

⚜ No outside food or drinks. At most events, refreshments will be provided by the Théâtre de la Cathédrale and its staff.

⚜ Keep voices to a minimum.  Those wishing to discuss events taking place on-stage should do so quietly, so as to not disturb the experience for others in the audience. Frequent outbursts made by a single individual will result in that individual being asked to leave. This ties back to 'being respectful'; carrying on a conversation loudly or making frequent exclamations is disrespectful to not only those on the stage, but to the other patrons.

⚜ No trespassing.  Those who do not have a key to the Théâtre de la Cathédrale's cellar or have not been invited down there by someone who is a part of the Théâtre de la Cathédrale's staff are trespassing on private property and will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

[A small note hangs near where the rules are listed as you enter the hallway.]

The Théâtre de la Cathédrale's management would like to remind its numerous patrons and visitors, be they residents of Dementlieu or foreign guests, that issues involving members of the troupe ought to be brought before the impresario or impresaria either in person or in writing. Threats of bodily harm or death, attempts at intimidation, or thinly-veiled ultimatums directed either at the troupe or the management will not be dignified with a response and instead be given over to the Gendarmerie, where both the troupe and House Jalabert will request that the accused be prosecuted to the fullest extent the law will allow.

To those who would rely upon such tactics to influence who is employed here and who is not, consider this your only warning.

~ ⚜ HOUSE RULES ⚜ ~

The Théâtre de la Cathédrale welcomes all individuals of good standing to our performances, though we reserve the right to refuse the entry to undesirables, criminals or those who would bring our fine establishment into disrepute. The Theatre too reserves the right to levy an attendance fee for our performances, this will go towards paying the members of our troupe and continuing to finance the Theatre itself.

⚜ Be respectful.  Be respectful of others in the audience, of those belonging to the Théâtre de la Cathédrale's troupe, and of House Jalabert and its representatives. Comply with requests made by the Théâtre de la Cathédrale's security personnel, when asked. If there is ever an issue concerning a staff member's conduct or behavior, it should be presented to the Théâtre de la Cathédrale's current manager, or Head of Security. Disrespect or defamation will not be tolerated and will result in the offensive individual being asked to leave and, in extreme examples, asked to never return. Individuals are also asked to keep their voices lowered during performances, for obvious reasons.

⚜ Remove all headwear.  We ask that those who are wearing hats, hoods, or any other kind of headwear that could obstruct the view of those behind them see them stowed away, kept at home, or, during more formal events, checked alongside their cloaks or coat as they enter the auditorium. An exception will be made for on duty members of the Gendarme.

⚜ Weapons are not allowed.  In the event of an emergency, the Théâtre de la Cathédrale's security personnel are equipped to deal with threats and dangerous situations. All guests with the exception of on duty gendarme are expected to either leave their weapons at home, or check them in with Theatre staff prior to a performance. If the Theatre's performance is outdoors, we expect guests to keep their weapons peace-bonded instead for the duration of the show. Those who refuse to comply with this policy will be asked to leave. The defination of a 'weapon' will be left up to Theatre Security.

⚜ No outside food or drinks. At most events, refreshments will be provided by the Théâtre de la Cathédrale and its staff. Where guests are permitted to bring their own refreshments, this will be made clear in the announcement.

⚜ No trespassing.  The backstage area behind the curtain and anything that may exist beyond are private property. Individuals caught tresspassing may be forcefully ejected and turned over to the Gendarme to face criminal charges. Those visiting the front half of the Theatre outside of a performance are encouraged for having a good reason to do so.

⚜ No Arcane Science. The Theatre de la Cathedral reserves the right for all the wonder and joy of the Arcane Sciences to remain upon the stage. The audience should refrain from such things during any performance, or to arrive under its effects.

Wear only your finest, for that is what you will witness on our stage.
