Borca - Sturben
« on: November 26, 2018, 03:01:55 AM »
Along the banks of the Vasha river some regular Borcan troups have been seen training harder than usual. Some posters have appeared in the southern part of Sturben and the nearby village of Ilvin calling volunteers up to face the Falkovnian menace. Along the Scythe Highway, however, no particular increase of the activities of the Falkovnian army has been spotted. Some peasants are already enrolling, almost with a deathwish preferred to their exhausting life in the service of local Stapans. Some minor nobles dining at the Green Mirror accompany their usual activity of preventing a possible intoxication to that of some gossip: it seems that for once the Borcan army intends to help Dementlieu in agreement of the Four Towers Treaty.

After a week, or something less, of mobilitation, a part of the recently trained recruits, something more than a dozen, have been seen marching southward through the Crimson Highway. The remainder of the newly trained has taken some local duty, while a little part were wholly discharged. All in all it all has seemed a distasteful display of force by the High Commander of the Borcan Army. "The Silent Child" is scheduled in Lechberg for the next week, the Sef would rather watch that every single evening rather than leading the army. For now the Four Towers appears to have been frustrated once again.

Following the sudden and suspicious death of Sturza family patriarch Maxim Sturza, Maxim's nephew Cosimo Sturza has been seen in the city of Sturben after purchasing an estate on the south bank of the Vasha river. The young Borcan businessman has re-started his family's business following its faltering public presence in Borca in light of being utterly outcompeted in commerce by the Boritsi Trading Company in the city. The Sturza Cartel seemingly has moved its capital and assets to the northern town at the direction of Guildmaster Cosimo. While it has bought new buildings and many locals have signed indentures, the company cannot seem to shake off its lowly regarded reputation for being somewhat 'toothless' in its affairs, especially given their investment into the crime-ridden district of Western Sturben.
