The title might be a little confusing so I'll elaborate below.
I would like to suggest a system for making shouts that go across the entirety of the area and perhaps beyond (much like guard horns). I noticed something with the guard horns a while back which I found interesting, in that if you are close enough and have enough Listen (I think), that you can discern the location of the horn's sound vaguely (east, west, north, south). I find this very useful already when there's trouble in the area, but how about allowing player characters to make the same shouts and subject to the same Listen checks? It could certainly add a bit of flavor and offer more avenues of RP, and also allowing people to scream for help if in trouble, if other PCs are in the region.
Thoughts? Concerns?
